Harvest School of Missions
March 30 – June 24, 2026
🇿🇦 Johannesburg, South Africa
You’ve heard the call. You just don’t know how to answer it yet
Ask yourself honestly: Have you ever felt your heart break for people you’ve never met? Have you ever sat in worship and cried without knowing why? Have you ever watched someone share their missions story and thought “I want that”? Have you ever felt a pull toward something bigger — but didn’t know how to get there? If yes — you’re not imagining it. That feeling? That’s God calling you. And He’s been trying to get your attention for longer than you think.
Not someday. Not when you feel ready. Now.
Because the heart of Harvest School has always been the same — to raise up missionaries who don’t just know about the Great Commission. Who actually live it. Not spectators. Not tourists. Not people who read about missions and feel good about it. But real, radical lovers of Jesus who are willing to be obedient — willing to step out, step forward, and play their part in fulfilling what God has asked of every believer.
And it goes deeper than just going on mission. We want to raise up disciple makers. People who don’t just follow Jesus — but lead others to Him. Whether that’s cross-culturally on the other side of the world, or right here in the streets of Johannesburg.
People who are constantly led by the Spirit of God. Not by fear. Not by comfort. Not by what everyone else is doing. By Him.
That’s what Harvest School is for. That’s what you’ve been looking for. And it starts the moment you say yes.
Three months that change everything.
This isn’t a conference.
It’s not a short-term trip where you show up, feel good, and go home the same person you came as.
This is immersive. This is real. This is three months of living inside the heart of God — studying, worshiping, praying, and going out into one of Africa’s most challenging cities to put it all into practice. Every single day.
The Mission Field
Johannesburg isn’t just where we are. It’s our mission field.
Johannesburg is called the City of Gold. But for thousands of people living within its borders, there is nothing golden about their reality. Crime. Unemployment. Sex trafficking. Drugs. Third-world conditions existing side by side with first-world infrastructure. It’s a city of extremes — and the ones at the bottom are desperate. Immigrants flock here from across Africa and beyond, searching for something better. A new life. A chance. But what they find instead is a jobless existence, poverty, and a world that has largely forgotten they’re there.
As a student at Harvest School, you won’t observe this from a comfortable distance. You’ll walk into it. Into the squatter camps where families live in structures smaller than most people’s garages. Into the neighbourhoods where hopelessness has taken root so deeply that no one believes anything will ever change. Into the lives of real people — immigrants, the unemployed, the forgotten — and you’ll bring something the world cannot offer them. The love of Jesus. Demonstrated. Not just spoken. Not just preached from a stage. Shown. Through your hands. Through your prayers. Through the way you stop and actually see them when no one else does.
We speak to nations here. Not through grand gestures or massive campaigns. Through stopping for the one. Through laying hands on the sick. Through showing up in the places everyone else has written off. So that all shall live and not die. So that all will see the glory of God and the power of His Spirit in action. That’s the commission.
Come and allow Jesus to do a work in you, so that He can do a work through you and be a light to the nations
About Iris Johannesburg
This isn’t an institution. It’s a family.
If there’s one thing that defines Iris Johannesburg — one thing that has defined us from the very beginning — it’s this:
We are family.
We are a small ministry center where intimacy and relationship is a lifestyle. We are raising our kids with their identities firmly rooted in Christ and they join us in all our ministry activities. We take them on community outreaches where they pray for the sick, distribute meals, and preach the Gospel.
When you come to Harvest School, you don’t just enrol in a program. You become one of ours. You’ll sit at our table. You’ll pray with our family. You’ll go on outreach alongside people who have been doing this for years — not as your instructors, but as your brothers and sisters. You’ll be known. You’ll be seen. You’ll be invested in — not just for three months, but beyond. Because that’s how family works.
