Our mission
About Iris Johannesburg
Iris Johannesburg is a Christ-centered missions family committed to living out the Great Commission in the heart of South Africa.
We exist to love Jesus deeply and to make Him known through lives of obedience, humility, and service. We believe the gospel is not only something to be proclaimed with words, but something to be lived daily — through presence, compassion, faithfulness, and surrender to the leading of the Holy Spirit.
As we walk among the poor, the broken, and the overlooked, we trust that God is already at work. Our desire is simply to join Him — loving people where they are, building genuine relationships, and pointing hearts to Jesus. We believe lasting transformation flows from intimacy with God and faithful presence with people.
Iris Johannesburg is part of the Iris Global family, while being deeply rooted in the local Johannesburg and South African context. We seek to serve this city with humility and hope, trusting God to bring healing, restoration, and new life through radical obedience.

What We Do
Community outreach
We go where Jesus would go — into communities, onto the streets, and into places of need. Our outreach is rooted in relationship, compassion, and long-term presence.
discipleship & training
We walk with people in discipleship, teaching them to hear God's voice, live in obedience, and make disciples who make disciples.
Children & youth
We invest in the next generation — creating safe spaces for children and youth to encounter Jesus, grow in faith, and discover their identity and calling in Him.
missions & evangelism
We are committed to sharing the gospel with boldness and love, trusting the Holy Spirit to lead and transform lives — one person, one family, one community at a time.
Mentorship & counseling
We walk alongside individuals through one-on-one mentorship and pastoral care, offering guidance, prayer, and support for those navigating life's challenges.
